In fact she says that “lifting of the veil of hormones” makes us free and activates our brains so that the next stage of our life can be the most influential, exciting and imaginative yet. Now that’s what I want to hear!" Yes, that's what I love too about Dr. Northrup. I believe the combo approach -- alternative plus conventional is called "integrative medicine". “The book discusses both medical and alternative (are they mutually exclusive I wonder?) cures for the symptoms of menopause and best of all, the author is positive about menopause!! I've read most of her books, watcher her PBS specials, and am now addicted to the work of the Women to Women Clinic that she helped co-found (it's in Yarmouth, Maine).
